A mysterious manuscript was created in the 19th century - the so-called Huld manuscript, It is a collection of magical symbols and seals supposedly found in pre-Christian times. There is also a brief description of the purpose of use for the symbol:
"If this sign is worn, you will never get lost in storms or bad weather, even if the way is not known."
